Dear family and friends! Well thought it was time for an update. I know most of you are keeping updated on the Lomani au website www.lomaniau.com but thought I would just write a few lines, as we are headed into Fiji on Monday! We are all very excited, about heading 'Home'! It seems like we have waited all year for this.. and now it is upon us its come up so fast!
The team at Lomani au have been working great guns to get a lot of the work with accommodation completed. The Chairman of the Lomani au board, his wife and children are over there at the moment. They went late October to do some ground work and 'escort' Leonie, our first worker from here in Aussie, that has committed to a couple of years at Lomani au. We are also very excited to have gained a local couple to work with Leonie in the new year! We are confident that the home has been blessed by their coming onto the team.
We have also been very blessed by you... the Lords people all over the world who have pulled up their sleeves and lent a helping hand, or who have mercifully, and so greatly opened your hands to give in any way you can. The Lord is guiding every step of the way with the goundwork being done at Lomani au, and we are so thankful that they money has come in as needed to complete the new building and other renovations needed to make it safe.
As we head over on Monday we take with us two couples from our church. Just young couples that are keen to get invovled. Always an encouragment to us. Paul will also be involved as the 'Project Manager' for Tenn Missions. They are bringing a group of 22 youth with them to Lomani au to do some work on the place. As well as that a huge committement has come in from a dear lady in NZ and her committee that are starting to raise funds on the NZ side for Lomani au! We have also just had a sponsor from America willing to get involved too.......the Lord is swinging wide the doors and pouring in HIS blessings... it is all sooooooooo exciting!
So, as the seven of us set out on Monday, we would value your prayers for us. For the children as they return to their home of 14 years, and for all the changes and emotions that will bring with it. For Paul has he heads up the team, and does some extra building at Lomani au. Pray for those who have stepped out in faith, whether it be to finacial committment or hands on help.... we look forward to having many visits from grannies and grandads... and if your not quite in that catogory... we are happy to call you 'Aunty or Uncle'!:) If you want to contact us over seas, we are still on email, may just take some time to answer that's all!
